Mr. Schulz is a Venture Adviser for Linn Grove Ventures. He is a veteran member of Manitoba’s life sciences community. He played a leadership role in establishing three medical research institutes in Winnipeg, the St Boniface General Hospital Research Centre, the I. H. Asper Clinical Research Institute, and the Kleysen Institute for Advanced Medicine at the Health Sciences Centre. He also played a lead role in setting up the Andrei Sakharov MRI Centre and the Canadian Centre for Agri-Food Research in Health and Medicine (CCARM) at St. Boniface Hospital.
Mr. Schulz also helped found two venture funds - Keystone Technologies, Inc., and Western Life Sciences Venture Funds and has been associated with the launch of six spin off companies, including Intelligent Hospital Systems and Monteris Medical. Currently, in addition to his role at Linn Grove, Mr. Schulz is the CEO of Prairie Fire Growth Ventures, driving the development of a new centre of excellence in agriculture biotechnology in Winnipeg.
Mr. Schulz received his degree in Commerce from the University of Manitoba.
